Product Description
"How many times have you walked into a dark room trying to find a light switch, only to stumble over furniture, step on something sharp, and stub your toe?
One of the hardest things to do is find something without light. Now imagine instead of a room, being outside in the woods with no light. Without illumination a path is meaningless, we twist our ankles, fall down, trip over the smallest things, and struggle to get anywhere. It is scary, frustrating, and hard.
If you take a candle though and put it in the distance, even hundreds of feet away, you have a point to go towards. If you take a dark room and light a candle, it illuminates tons of things. Light is what gives us direction, light helps us see and know where we are going. Light is what gives value to the path in front of us. The Psalms say "Your word is a light unto my path, and a lamp unto my feet.
This is echoed further still when the book of John calls Jesus Christ "The Word"
Jesus then said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Some of us need light so bad. We stumble around from broken relationship to broken relationship, we can't get a handle on our life. Jesus offers light for the path of anyone. For the struggling alcoholic, for the dad who needs a job, for the victim of AIDS who has little strength left to fight. His light illuminates a divine path that transcends race, ideals, wealth, and life. All we must do is follow him. Jesus offers a light and a path that will lead to life. It will break you free from the chains of drug abuse, heal the broken hearted, and offer hope to the person who has lost hope. He will make life more enjoyable, time more valuable, and peace more possible.
Jesus doesn't stop there either, He gives us the opportunity to be the light as well. We must share Christ with everyone around us and remember to be the light to the world as He is the light of the World. We must walk the path He offers."
